Christmas Cards!!!

Here are some of the Christmas Cards I created for family and friends. Making these cards was so much fun and though I saw a lot of nice ones in the stores, I enjoy making personalized cards with a handmade touch! Hope you enjoy them as well. Good feedback on the Facebook Fan Page.  Will be ready to take orders for next years cards. Happy New Year 2011!!!

Thank you cards

Card making is one of the crafts I enjoy doing the most! I enjoy making personalized cards for family and friends birthdays, weddings, thank you's andd other events rather than buying some at the store. I create the cards from left over scraps I have saved from other projects.

For these thank you cards, I used textured paper as the background of the top of my card. I like the idea of using left over ribbon (the white one with hearts was used in my wedding) on the bottom of cards to give the card a sophisticated look.

I cut out flowers using the Martha Stewart  flower punch, added diamond stickers. Behind the flowers I used pop up stickers to give the flowers a 3D look. The green stems on the flowers are cut from the edge of my sheer ribbon.

I hope those who received these cards enjoyed them as much as I had fun making them :)

baby shower box gift

I decorated this plain cardboard box with purple, yellow and green flowers, and circles to match the pretty yellow ribbon on the edges, the ribbon had cut out flowers with a brown diamond. The top has a piece of yellow textured paper and the front has the word BABY in yellow, white and with brown diamonds. I want the baby to have her own little special box.

baby shower decorations!

Handmade cake box for a baby shower. The boxes started off plain cardboard and tissue paper was glued and added (pink and brown). The round edges were covered in light pink ribbon with 'baby girl' all over it. There were also flowers added and a handmade bow on top. It's very cute... the mom-to-be thought it was bought, she did not realize that it was made, that's a compliment! ;)

Card designs for the family...

Having fun with more wedding leftovers!

Latest creation, simple and put together from wedding leftovers...

This arrangement is filled with foamy pearls and the green Orchids used to decorate the church for the ceremony and the same flower I wore on my hair.  It now decorates our dinning room table. I love saving scraps and creating something new!!

Cake topper shadowbox

My latest project completed!!

I used the cake topper letters from our Wedding cake (K&A) and the leftover ribbon from our wedding invitation inside this shadowbox. The background picture is a picture of us made up small words: Kyle & Amanda Lott. September 26, 2009. Genesis 2:18 "The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him" showing in the background.

Saving scraps from craft projects really comes in handy! :)

Design Ideas on my day off!

Finally a day off for myself. To focus on my freelance career and passion. Scrapbooking is my favorite hobby. It is so much fun to layout pages and create beautiful lasting memories. I purchased a shadow box at Pat Catans (I can be in there for hours especially with my mom), and am going to mount our wedding invitation I designed along with the Orchids used in my hair for a cherished memory of our Wedding day. Will post pics soon!

In the mean time, I saw this on Martha Stewart.com http://www.marthastewart.com/crafts and it inspired me to continue to find ways to display pictures in creative ways to cherish forever.

His show

Michelle Bonilla is a great example to young people and this song "Your Show" is a reminder to us all that our lives are not our own but "His Show". We have to remember that everything we do is for God and not our own glory. I can't wait for her new album to come out April 17th, 2010

My new journey

September 26th, 2009 was the beginning of my new journey in life. It was the introduction to a new chapter in life. God has shown me so much through the planning of the wedding, getting married, moving to a new place with my husband, and starting a marriage.

These past three months have been the ultimate adventure, while I've learned to trust in God completely. Through the wonderful, and not so wonderful times, I am so grateful for where HE has brought me to right now. I would have never imagined being a married woman at 24, but God knows the plans he has for me ("For I know the plans I have for you", declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11)

Now... 3 months later, I am seeking the good Lord for direction on my freelance business and he is putting it all together for his glory. Let's see where he takes me now!
